Tuesday

Tuesday night started at Barnfire Mesquite Grill for Country dance night with live music by Clear Country Band. Clear Country is made up of Rick Skinner, Micky G and Harry Bolin. People are so excited that Micky G is playing again with Clear Country Band. Micky G’s video of him playing steel and singing has reached over 2300 views and counting. Come out and see Micky G live. The next Country Dance Night at Barnfire is Tuesday, July 30th from 6-9PM.

Wednesday

Wednesday I traveled up to Oracle, Arizona to see the Reeves Brothers at Sue & Jerry’s Trading Post. I was so impressed when Jerry meet us at the entryway, showed us around and made us feel welcome. It’s a quaint little marked tucked away in the hills of Oracle. Every Wednesday Sue and Jerry host, live music and a community farmers market. Their farmers market included crafts, food, produce and all kinds of interesting finds. The highlight was the Reeves Brothers band out of Arkansas. This 4 piece band brings it all together with a fresh twist on classic covers and amazing originals. You can catch the Reeves Brothers on their next visit to Arizona on November 1st and 2nd at Roosters Country in Mesa.

Thursday

Thursday night featured the Jack Bishop Band at Outlaw Saloon. This was the busiest I have seen a Thursday night at the Outlaw in a long time. The dance floor was full of happy dancers, the bar was packed and lots of Karaoke singers in the back bar. This Thursday features the Highway Outlaws Band starting at 7:30 PM. Hope to see y’all there.

Saturday

Saturday night Joe Barr performed at BarnFire Mesquite Grill. Joe Barr is well known for his events at the Pima County Fair. Joe Barr has been performing classic country and southern rock hits for over 20 years. Look for his upcoming events on Tucson Country Music.

The Unwound band was at Eddie’s Cocktails. This was only the 2nd appearance of this new band and they were amazing. All I can say is wow this is a must see band. They have talent for days. Saturday featured 6 band members including Ricky Wheelington, Laki Skouras, Robin Faber, Rob Curcio, Art Keys and Dan Hawk. This band is going to take Tucson by the horns! Their next event is August 2nd, 9PM at Eddie’s Cocktails.

WildRide! held a crowd at Outlaw Saloon till close. Rocky Martinez had an opportunity to share his hidden vocal talent with everyone. He sings like an angel. Can’t wait to hear him again. It was a very successful night at the Outlaw Saloon. This weeks line-up at the Outlaw Saloon includes The Highway Outlaw Band on Thursday at 7:30PM, WildRide on Friday at 9:00 PM and Highway Outlaws on Saturday for an Encore presentation at 9:00 PM.

Sunday

Sunday I had a relaxing time at Putney’s Sports bar with friends for Bloody Mary’s and Pool before heading out to the East side.

The Hideout Saloon hosted Frank N Steel for a Sunday night music blowout. I’ve never seen this band before and I was blown away. Frank n Steel plays a mix of classic country and blues with plenty of 2 steppin and waltz choices. Hope to see more of this band around town.

Hope everyone has a great week and we’ll see y’all on the dance floor!
