Tuesday

This week started out strong with a Tuesday night dance with Southern Reins at Craft Republic on the Northwest side. Tuesday night dances at Craft have really gained in popularity. So many come early and enjoy a bite to eat and then dance through the evening. What a great way to spend a Tuesday night and still get home early. Looking forward to seeing Clear Country Band this Tuesday at Barnfire Mesquite Grill.

Wednesday

Wednesday night was Karaoke at The Station. I was joined by Rick Wheelington from the new Unwound band. His voice was amazing, you can see why he is making such a large impact on the Country Music Community in Tucson. Look for Rick and the Unwound band at Eddie’s Cocktails on Saturday, July 20th at 9pm.

Thursday

Thursday I had the pleasure of visiting Iron John’s Brewery to hear Mark Insley with Damon Barnaby. Mark never disappoints with his classic country style and sweet smile. Look for them this Thursday at 7:30.

Outlaw Saloon featured Wildride! band playing to a busy Thursday night crowd. Julie stole the show with her fiddle playing and amazing vocals. Can’t wait to see this band again soon. You can catch Wildride this week at both Eddies’ Cocktails and Outlaw Saloon.

Friday

Friday night I got to hear Backroads Band Tucson playing to a full house at Bianchi’s. I got to see so many new faces, what a great time! Rick Williams has such an amazing voice, he brings every song to life. Backroads is in Puerto Penasco this weekend but look for them next week at Eddie’s Cocktails and Casino Del Sol.

Afterwards I got to enjoy Jay Faircloth at The Station. So amazing to hear this seasoned talent. Jay is a great person that not only shares his talent with fans but also with budding young artists. He has helped and supported local talent with their careers and deserves recognition for his efforts. Jay is a true class act with Cowboy Code for days.

Saturday

Saturday I missed out on live music to help a friend in need. It gave me time to reflect on how much I love and appreciate everyone that has helped support Tucson Country Music. Y’all have helped me forge a strong connection between the bands and the amazing fans that love to get out and enjoy live music. I really missed seeing everyone this weekend and am looking forward to a fun filled week ahead.
