Wednesday
Wednesday night I successfully surprised Jack Ruger with a surprise Birthday party with the help of Clint, Kelley and the staff at The Station. I never would have been able to pull it off without their help. Thank you to all the people that came out to make his day special. I really appreciate everyone’s support in keeping it a secret. Even you Doran.
This Wednesday I would recommend stopping it at Eddie’s Cocktails to hear one of the best Pedal Steel Guitar players in the World… Chuck Back – starting at 8:00 PM.
Thursday
Thursday night I got to see Corey Spector play to a packed house at the BarnFire Mesquite Grill. So cool that he had a full list of music we could request from on the tables. It made picking my favorite easy and fun. Can’t wait to see him again soon! Coming this Sunday, June 16 you can find Corey at Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort from 6-9PM. I highly recommend getting reservations as I expect it will sell out. Just call (520) 529-3500 to make reservations.
Afterwards I stopped in at Bianchi’s Italian in Oro Valley for my favorite pizza and some great tunes by Jack Bishop. Always great to hear Jack, he even performed an original by Andy Hersey. You can find Jack Bishop this week at The Maverick on Tuesday.
Friday
Friday night was WildRide! at Outlaw Saloon. It’s been a while since I got in some good dancing with the WildRide! Band. True to form, this band made 2 steppin’ a breeze with their mix of classic and modern country songs. Hope to see them again soon.
Afterwards I stopped in at Old Father Inn and was surprised to find OneSall playing to a full bar. There I ran into some great friends and made some new ones too. You know it can’t be all Country all the time.
Saturday
Saturday was all about the Outlaw Saloon and Tony Corrales Band. The dance floor was filled to capacity and the drinks were flowing. Every time I walk into the Outlaw it’s like getting a warm, welcoming hug from grandma. Garry and Estrella Kilbourne are fantastic hosts. This week at the Outlaw Saloon you can look forward to seeing WildRide! and Patrick Ryal & The .357 Band.
If you haven’t heard Tony Corrales has a new release coming soon. Keep an eye on his page for for the release of his Summertime Anthem: Margaritavillian. You can find Tony Corrales this Saturday, June 15 at Casino Del Sol – Paradiso Lounge starting at 9:00 PM.
We also had a pre-birthday celebration for Chris Hudson. Happy Birthday Chris!
Sunday
Sunday evening I enjoyed the Back 2 Back band at Eddie’s Cocktails. These guys are are one of the best kept secrets in Tucson music. They are a MUST see for anyone who loves great country music.

Don’t forget this week is Fathers Day on Sunday the 16th. Very special Father’s day event happening at the Station you won’t want to miss it!
